Mood Matters
A Skills-Based Workshop on Clinical Practice and Recovery
9am to 1.30pm Tuesday 23rd October 2012

This free half-day event (funded by EROS) is an opportunity for clinicians, managers, service-users and researchers across Greater Manchester West to forge links, learn some fundamental facts about moods and how to manage them, and to join in with existing projects.

This event is free to all but spaces are limited and it is only open to people who sign up before the event.

Key Topics for the day will include:
 How can CBT be applied as a universal therapy - a transdiagnostic
 How can people with mood swings and bipolar disorders learn to think
more effectively about life choices?
 What are the most helpful strategies for regulating mood - and what
are the most unhelpful ones?
 How can different agencies in primary and secondary care learn to
work together more effectively?
The format will be combination of interactive stands, lectures, and clinical
workshops to bring together the lived experience of moods with the research
and interventions designed to work with them.
